Bench
The players in your Team Roster who did not make it to your starting lineup for a particular round of the competition.Competition
Competition refers both to a real world competition, such as the Super 14, Air NZ Cup, or Rugby World Cup, as well as the Sportsighted.com fantasy competition that is based on it. Each competition has its own parameters such as the specific rules and scoring system used as well as what set of positions makes up a valid team. The process of selecting your team. Each team owner in your league takes turns selecting one player for their team. The sequence of turns we use is known as a snake.Drop Player
Removing a player from your team roster and opening up a slot for you to add a player either through a trade or from the pool of un-owned players. If you drop a player and there is at least one player on your wish list with nothing preventing them from being on your team, then the highest placed of such players is automatically added to your team roster.Feature Forward
One of the positions in Sportsighted Rugby. This position exists for simplicity of the game, rather than naming and having to select players for each individual forward position, you only need select a small number of forwards who can be placed in any Feature Forward position. Feature Forwards follow the same scoring rules as the back positions.Forward Pack
One of the positions in Sportsighted Rugby. This position does not refer to an individual player, but rather to the group performance of a real world squad. Forward Packs follow a different set of scoring rules than the rules followed by individual players. This is where the performance of the forwards of a squad as a group come into play, such as from recycling the ball as well as mauls and lineouts.Game On
Game On is the point at which a particular round of the competition goes from being open to frozen. This is usually shortly before the kickoff of the first match in the real competition. At this point you may no longer alter your starting lineup for that round. You can still alter the starting lineup of any future round, but you will not be able to alter your team roster until the next round opens, generally shortly after the last real match in the round.Kicker
The player in your starting lineup that you have designated to be able to score points from place kicks. Even if you have more than one player in your starting lineup who makes successful place kicks in the real match, only the points scored by your designated Kicker will count towards your total.Kicking Points
Fantasy points accrued by players arising from place kicks. Only the Kicking Points accrued by your designated Kicker will count towards your teams final score.League
A collection of fantasy teams that compete against each other and earn fantasy points based on the performances of their players in the real world competition.Organiser
The person who created the league, set the draft time, and is responsible for controlling the customisable aspects of your league.Owner
The person managing a fantasy team in your league. Each owner has a screen name that is not necessarily the person's real name.Position
Each player in the competition is available to use in only a limited number of positions based on the positions played by them in the real world. Occaisionally, a player in the real world competition will temporarily play a position that they are not really suited for and this position will not be added to their repetoire in the fantasy competition. It is important to have enough players in each position so that you can form a valid starting lineup.Regular Points
Fantasy points accrued by players not including points arising from place kicks.Snake
The name given to the particular sequence of turns used on this site during a draft. Each team is given a number and in the first round the teams make a one selection in order of their draft order number. In the second round this order is reveresed. This means that the first team to make a selection is the one who waits the longest for their second selection. The first and last to select will have two turns in a row each round in this way.Squad
The real world province, country or franchise that the player plays for.Starting Lineup
The players from your team roster that will be playing for your team in a particular round. The number of players required for a starting lineup as well as the mixture of positions varies depending on the competition. The list of all players on your team in a particular league. This includes both the players you have selected for your starting lineup as well as players on the benchTrade
Swapping one or more players on your team for one or more players on an opponents team.Wish List
Whenever you attempt to add a player to your team, they will instead go on your wish list if there is some reason they cannot be put directly on your team. Reasons include your team being full already, the player being owned by another team or the maximum number of players of that position being already reached.
